In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of the leading communication apps on the Android platform in Italy showed dynamic trends across downloads, revenue, and active user engagement. WhatsApp Messenger maintained a robust presence with weekly downloads peaking at approximately 52.4K in mid-January. Despite a slight decline towards the end of the quarter, the app sustained a strong weekly active user base, rising from 29.2M to nearly 29.4M.

Telegram displayed a steady increase in weekly revenue, starting at around $24K and reaching a high of $29K in early March. Weekly downloads hovered around 40K, and active users saw an uptick from 10.6M to 11.2M.
